CC TIgers Will Face Defending Champs

By  |

The NCAA Hockey brackets were announced Sunday morning with little drama. Colorado College will face off against Michigan State in the first round.

The Colorado College Tigers already knew they were staying home to play in the West Regional at World Arena. They also knew they probably wouldn't be the #1 seed thanks to back to back losses in the WCHA tournament.

The Spartans, CC's first round opponents are the defending national champions and come in as the #3 seed.

The other two teams headed to Colorado Springs include the #1 seed New Hampshire, and the #4 seed Notre Dame. Those two teams will square off in the first game of the day on Friday at 4:30 pm.

The Tigers and the Spartans will play the late game at World Arena which will start at 8:00 pm.

The winner of the West regional will move on to the Frozen Four at the Pepsi Center in Denver, April 10th-12th.

West Regional Schedule.

#1 - New Hampshire vs. #4 - Notre Dame -- 4:30 PM - World Arena
#2 - Colorado College vs. #3 - Michigan State -- 8:00 PM - World Arena
