The McNaughton Cup was in the building at the World Arena on Saturday night. It left without a celebration.
Colorado College surrendered a two-goal lead in the third period in 3-2 loss to Minnesota State.
Chad Rau and Eric Walsky both scored in the loss for the Tigers. But two third period goals by Jason Wiley and Jared Stewart sent the game to overtime. In OT, tied at two, Kael Mouillierat scored the game winner just 16 seconds into the extra period.
The Tigers, who lost for just the second time at World Arena, can clinch the McNaughton Cup with a win over Denver on Friday or Saturday.
