The Colorado Avalanche are looking forward to having Peter Forsberg join them in Denver.

Team officials learned this afternoon that Forsberg will arrive in Colorado later today.

He's scheduled to skate at the Pepsi Center tomorrow morning.

Forsberg traveled 29 hours from Sweden to catch up with the team Wednesday in Vancouver, British Columbia, but had to stay there to take care of some immigration issues.

Team Senior Vice President Jean Martineau says major steps had been taken for Forsberg to get a work visa that enables the star to play in the U.S. and Canada.

The earliest Forsberg can play is tomorrow against the Los Angeles Kings at the Pepsi Center.
