Chris Osgood stopped 18 shots for his 47th career shutout and the Detroit Red Wings snapped a six-game losing skid by blanking the Colorado Avalanche 4-0. Henrik Zetterberg scored twice.

Chris Chelios scored his first goal in four months. Valtteri Filppula had a power-play goal in the opening period for Detroit.

The Red Wings swept the four-game season series with Colorado. It's only the second time that Detroit has swept the Avalanche since they moved to Denver in 1995-96. The Avs have lost four straight.
