DU's Trotter Going To Montreal Canadians

The leading scorer on the University of Denver hockey team is headed to the pros.

Pioneers coach George Gwozdecky has confirmed that Brock Trotter signed a free-agent contract with the Montreal Canadiens. Trotter will report to Montreal's AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Gwozdecky says the team is excited for Trotter.

The sophomore forward leads Denver in goals (13) assists (18) and points (31).

The Pioneers have lost four of their past five games. They play Minnesota tonight and tomorrow at home. Tonight's game starts at 7:35.
