Hooked - (Stacia Naquin)
Updated: 10/11/2013 - I'm SO CLOSE to being able to do a pull-up. So my trainer introduced something new into my training.
Tim Anderson scored 18 points and Matt Holland added 10 as Air Force beat TCU 56-46 Saturday night.
Anderson hit 4-of-10 3-pointers and Holland went 2-of-3 from long range in a game that featured 48 attempts from beyond the arc.
The Falcons (12-8, 4-3 Mountain West) hit on 47 percent of their 3-point attempts, while TCU (11-9, 3-4) missed badly most of the time. TCU's Brent Hackett missed 11 of his 12 3-pointers, and the other Horned Frogs also struggled as the team went 7-of-29 (24 percent).
The difference in shooting showed early. Air Force went up 28-20 at halftime after hitting 52 percent from the field, including 5-of-11 shooting on 3-point tries. The Horned Frogs missed 14 of their 18 3-point attempts in the half.
Kevin Langford led TCU with 11 points, and Keion Mitchem added 10.
Keith Maren scored nine points to lead an Air Force starting frontcourt that hit 11 of 16 from the field. Maren was 4-for-4.
