The Colorado Avalanche have recalled goalie Tyler Weiman from Lake Erie, the club's American Hockey League affiliate.
The 23-year-old Weiman has been in 20 games for Lake Erie this season. He posted an 8-11-1 record while leading the club's goaltenders in goals against average (2.84) and save percentage (.917) with two shutouts.
Weiman was the club's sixth selection in the 2002 entry draft. He made his NHL debut with the Avs in Nashville on October 4th.
Colorado has also reassigned defenseman Johnny Boychuk to Lake Erie and activated defenseman Kurt Sauer from the injured list. Defenseman Kyle Cumiskey has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to January 9th.
