Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony has been named the NBA's Western Conference player of the week.
Anthony averaged 33.7 points, 13.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists a game in three games from December 17th through last night. The Nuggets went 2-1.
Anthony posted three consecutive double-doubles for the week. He had a season-high 37 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in a double-overtime win over Houston last Thursday.
Anthony has been named Player of the Week seven times in his four-plus seasons in the NBA. He's fourth in the league in scoring with an average of 25.4 points a game.
