New Colorado State coach Steve Fairchild has hired former Duke assistant Scott Brown as defensive line coach.

Brown was co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at Duke, where he worked for the past 12 years.

The appointment, announced Tuesday, is the third since Fairchild took over the program on December 12th from Sonny Lubick, who was fired.

Fairchild hired Larry Kerr as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator and also retained former CSU receivers coach Marc Lubick, whose title will be determined later.

Marc Lubick is the former head coach's son.
