The office of Representative Mark Udall says the U.S. House today passed a resolution honoring the Colorado Rockies.

The Eldorado Springs Democrat introduced the resolution in November.

The Rockies won the National League Championship to appear in their first World Series this season.

Udall's office says this is the first time the House has ever honored the National League pennant winners.

The measure also congratulates the Boston Red Sox for winning the World Series.

The resolution now moves to the Senate.
