Calhoun And Hall Honored By Mountain West

It shouldn't come as a big surprise that Troy Calhoun has been named Mountain West Coach of the Year. It also shouldn't be a surpise that his star player, Chad Hall, was named Offensive Player of the year.

The two awards were announced on Tuesday.

For Calhoun the award comes in his first year as head coach of the Falcons. He led the team to a 9-3 record and is taking them to their first bowl game in five years.

Hall emerged later in the season breaking several school records for rushing yards. Hall played so well, the Academy even put together a Hall For Heisman Campaign.

Several other Falcons were honored on Tuesday as well. Along with Hall, offensive lineman Blaine Guenther were named First Team All-Conference for offense. On the defensive side of the ball, John Rabold and Carson Bird were both named First Team All-Conference as well.

Drew Fowler and Nick Charles were both named 2nd Team All-Conference.
