The Detroit Tigers have acquired Denny Bautista from the Colorado Rockies in a swap of right-handed pitchers.
Bautista was 2-and-1 with a 12.46 ERA in nine games for Colorado. He went 3-and-2 with a 2.92 ERA in 64-and-two-thirds innings at Triple-A Colorado Springs.
The 27-year-old is 1-and-1 with a 3.46 in eight appearances with Oriente in the Dominican Winter League, and has a 4-and-10 major league record with a 6.93 ERA in 21 starts and 14 relief appearances.
Capellan went a combined 0-and-3 with a 5.54 ERA in 17 relief appearances for Milwaukee and Detroit, which acquired him on July 1st.
He was 0-and-1 with a 5.79 ERA at Triple-A Toledo.
The 26-year-old Capellan is 5-and-7 with a 4.90 ERA in 96 relief appearances and two starts for Atlanta, Milwaukee and Detroit.
