Third-string Denver Broncos quarterback Darrell Hackney was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Police spokesman Brad Johnson said the 24-year-old was pulled over about 2:20 a.m. by an officer who found probable cause for the investigation. Johnson did not release other details of the arrest, which was reported by KUSA-TV in Denver.

Hackney was processed and released into the custody of a sober third party.

A Broncos spokesman could not be reached immediately for comment.
