Broncos Sign Kyle Johnson

The Denver Broncos on Thursday signed fullback Kyle Johnson and waived guard Isaac Snell, Head Coach Mike Shanahan announced.
Johnson (6-foot-0, 242 pounds) is a fifth-year player who begins his second stint with Denver, which waived him on Sept. 1 after he had spent 2002-06 with the club. He entered the NFL with Carolina as a fifth-round (145th overall) selection in the 2002 NFL Draft from Syracuse University and competed on the Giants’ and Lions’ practice squad as a rookie before signing with the Broncos’ active roster on Dec. 10, 2002.
In 44 career games played (24 starts), Johnson has totaled nine rushes for 39 yards (4.3 avg.) with one touchdown and caught 33 passes for 323 yards (9.8 avg.) with eight touchdowns. He also owns 16 career special-teams tackles.
