Broncos Continue D-line Shuffle

The Denver Broncos reshuffled their defensive line again Tuesday by re-signing Kenny Peterson and waiving second-year tackle Antwon Burton.

Last week, the Broncos released end Simeon Rice and tackle Amon Gordon and signed three free-agent defensive ends.

Peterson is a fifth-year defensive end whom the Broncos released Oct. 8 after he served a four-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy. He said he took a supplement that contained a banned ingredient.

Peterson originally signed with the Broncos last season and played in three games. He was a third-round draft choice of the Green Bay Packers in 2003 out of Ohio State. He has played in 37 career games and has three sacks.

The Broncos also added tight end Chad Upshaw, a rookie from the University of Buffalo, to their practice squad.
