Colorado Avalanche forward Brad Richardson has been cleared to play after being sidelined since an offseason wrist injury, but has been reassigned to Colorado's American Hockey League affiliate in Cleveland -- the Lake Erie Monsters.
Richardson was injured during offseason workouts before training camp.
He had posted career highs in games played with 73, plus 14 goals and 22 points last season with the Avs.
Richardson had three shorthanded goals and three game-winning goals last season.
