Colorado has added pitcher Aaron Cook to its World Series roster and he's penciled in to start Game 4 at home against Boston.
Cook was the Rockies' opening-day starter but hasn't pitched in a major league game since August 10th because of a strained muscle in his side.
Cook threw in a simulated game Saturday at Coors Field while the Rockies were in the middle of a record eight-day layoff for the Fall Classic. He apparently proved he was healthy and ready to return to the rotation.
Cook was 8-and-7 with a 4.12 ERA before his layoff.
His return means rookie Franklin Morales will pitch out of the bullpen.
