This year coach George Karl is implementing a new defense-first philosophy, with more expected from a front court that is finally getting healthy.
Kenyon Martin missed all but two games last year after surgery on his right knee. Martin got his first full-contact action in camp today. The former All-Star brings a career average of nearly 15 points per game.

The Nuggets lost Reggie Evans in a trade with Philadelphia but got Steven Hunter.

Marcus Camby and Nene (neh-NAY') are back, along with Carmelo Anthony.

Linas Kleiza also is in the fold. His .376 three-point percentage is second best on the team.
