DENVER - Colorado’s largest Independence Day celebration takes place at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Thursday, July 4th with the undefeated, 8-0 Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse taking on the New York Lizards starting at 7 PM. The celebration is sponsored by Arrow Electronics Inc.

A 360 degree, multi-media fireworks display produced by renown Zambelli Fireworks Internationale will take place with the official unveiling of the massive new video board at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The third-largest video board in the National Football League for the 2013-14 season, the new high-definition LED video display measures 220’ long x 40’ high and is the centerpiece of an off-season $30 million dollar stadium improvement project that also includes two new HD video displays above the stadium’s north end zone, a nearly 1,500-foot-wide LED ribbon display along the club level façade, a new sound system and the installation of over 1,000 flat screen monitors in stadium concourses and other public spaces.

The more than 21 million LEDs in use through these displays were provided by Daktronics, a provider of visual communication systems based in Brookings, S.D. Daktronics leads the industry in the installation of LED video displays, among other visual communication technology. Its team, with more than 500 engineers on staff, has established Daktronics as the market-share leader in display solutions for professional and collegiate sports organizations. In addition to the Sports Authority Field, Daktronics has installed displays at Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies; Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, home of the Colorado Rapids; and several university stadiums across the Front Range, among others.
