John Elway stands behind Tim Tebow as next season

Tim Tebow has earned the right to be the Broncos' starting quarterback going into training camp next year, Hall of Famer and Chief of Football Operations John Elway said in a press conference Monday.

This after a 45-10 routing at the hands of the New England Patriots Saturday,

Elway said he intends to work with the 24-year-old quarterback over the offseason, to help polish his passing game.

Though the season ended on a sour note for many Broncos fans, the team overachieved on early season expectations: the Broncos were 1-4 when Tebow took the helm as quarterback, and turned their season around to make the playoffs for the first time since 2005.

Perhaps "Anyone Paying Attention" needs to step down from his high horse and realize that Tim Tebow helped turn around a losing season (1 and 4 when he started); and we made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. You might want to check how many quarterbacks even take their teams to the playoffs their first season; compare Tim's record to some of the great quarterbacks in the NFL today.

"We" made it to the playoffs? What position were you playing?

You've heard of Tom Brady, right? 3-time Super Bowl Champion. 2-time Super Bowl MVP. 2-time NFL MVP. Sports Illustrated "Sportsman of the Year." He's just one of hundreds of examples of clean-living, high-quality humans playing in today's National Football League. Tebow's hardly the first and he's far from the best (though I'm excited to see how hard he works during and what he brings back after this off-season!).

Tom Brady should be wearing a skirt. I would hardly call anyone who plays for Bill Billicheat, high quality or living cleanly.

Well I beg to differ, Tom Brady impregnanted his girlfriend, she had the baby, then he impregnates another girlfriend, and they end up getting married, not really a great role model here for young men or women. Sorry, he is a wonderful athlete, but a poor example of a Christian guy.

I'll say this about Tebow: Proves you can get a shot at playing professional sports without having tattoos, body piercings, or a rap sheet. Good for him, and I wish him well.

Left as is - this could possibly mature into a great team. To the fans....remember all the hype and harassment when it came to Elway's Mile High Salute and the big deal over putting on his baseball cap? Now it is Tebow's turn to weather the media storm. Time will tell if given a chance.

Wonder if you sheep would be so worshipful of him if he practiced another religion?

I wondered the same thing. What if he practiced Islam? Imagine the uproar.

Tebow is not a bible thumper and he is exercising his freedom of speech and freedom of religion, he has potential he did get training camp due to the lockout and he was thrown into the season without any real practice. As for Oakland letting us in the playoffs I believe that to be false Oakland would of lost to the steelers because Carson Palmer is getting old.

Tim Tebow has done something we've missed for past few years. He has excited thousands of us and reminded us we can have something exciting right here in Colorado. Thank you Tim, and go get 'em next year. I and many others now have something to look forward to.

It's funny, football players have been doing this exact stance/pose for many, many years. Why all of a sudden is this moron so special because he does it? Why you ask? Because you idiotic Bronco fans will follow anything that comes out of Bronco stadium. You're all a bunch of brainless twits!
