ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos signed center Manny Ramirez to a two-year contract extension through 2015, Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway announced.
Ramirez (6-3, 320 pounds) is a seventh-year player who has started 27-of-36 career regular-season games with Detroit (2007-10) and Denver (2011-13).
He saw action in a career-high 15 games a season ago, opening regular-season 11 contests for the Broncos at right guard. He took over as Denver’s starting center during the offseason and played every offensive snap at that position during the Broncos season-opening win against Baltimore.
Ramirez was selected by the Lions in the fourth round (117th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft after competing as a four-year starter for Texas Tech University.
A first-team all-district selection at Willowrigde High School in Houston, Ramirez was born on Feb. 13, 1983.
