ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Saturday signed safety Kyle McCarthy to the active roster from their practice squad and waived fullback Quinn Johnson, it was announced.
McCarthy (6-foot-1, 205 pounds) is a second-year player who has seen action in 10 career games, including two contests for the Broncos this season. He was signed by Denver as a college free agent from the University of Notre Dame in 2010.
He will wear jersey No. 34 for the Broncos.
