ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos, in conjunction with USA Football, will host their inaugural Moms Football Safety Clinic on Wednesday at Sport Authority Field at Mile High from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
More than 200 moms from at least 15 Colorado youth football leagues will participate in the event.
"I think Heads Up Football has covered every key step in tackling fundamentals,” Broncos Head Coach John Fox said. “So much of the problem is the launching with the head down, and Heads Up Football is addressing that.
“Keeping the head up and using terminology that doesn't encourage using the head is important."
This clinic is designed to educate moms of youth football players on the key components of Heads Up Football, the new standard in health and player safety for youth football. Demonstrations and information will be provided to educate moms in attendance about Heads Up tackling fundamentals, concussion awareness, heat and hydration safety, and equipment fitting.
Hosted by 850 KOA’s Susie Wargin, the clinic will include appearances by Denver Broncos players and alumni, stadium tours and more.
