Palm Beach Gardens, FL – February 20 – Samson Equipment, the nation’s top supplier of weight training equipment, along with American Football Monthly, the leading educational resource for coaches everywhere, has named Luke Richesson of the Denver Broncos as the NFL’s 2013 Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year.

In addition, Samson Equipment’s awards also include three college strength and conditioning coach of the year winners and four high school regional coaches of the year.

“This is the 11th year that we’ve recognized the nation’s best strength and conditioning coaches at the professional, college, and high school level,” said Scott Schroeder, Samson’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “Strength and conditioning programs have become a top priority at all levels across the country. The March issue of AFM profiles all eight winners.”

FBS – Ivan Lewis, USC

FCS – Jim Kramer, North Dakota State

Division II - Larry Varnado, Eastern New Mexico University

High School – Eastern Region – Mark Hoover, Piedmont High School (NC)

High School – Central Region – Fred Eaves, Battle Ground Academy (TN)

High School – Southern Region – Richard Slater, Katy High School (TX)

High School – Western Region – Tony Calvello, St. Ignatius College Prep (CA)
