BRONCOS DESIGNATE SAFETY ERIC HAGG AS RESERVE/RETIRED

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Tuesday designated safety Eric Hagg as reserve/retired, the team announced.
The third-year player, who was signed by the club to a future contract on Dec. 31, 2013, appeared in 22 career games (4 starts) during his first two NFL seasons with Cleveland and collected 32 tackles (29 solo), two passes defensed and one fumble recovery.
Selected by the Browns in the seventh round (248th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft from the University of Nebraska, Hagg totaled 130 tackles, six interceptions, four sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 49 games (34 starts) for the Huskers.
Hagg attended Ironwood High School in Peoria, Ariz., and was born on Sept. 15, 1989.
