Slain Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was eulogized Wednesday at a private memorial at team headquarters.
His teammates and coaches, along with Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and other team personnel, gathered with Williams' relatives at the team's training complex. A Broncos spokesman says all the players got a chance to say what Williams meant to them. There was also a slide show of his career.
Former Bronco Trevor Pryce who plays for the Baltimore Ravens was at the memorial.
Williams was in his second year with the Broncos. He was killed when someone in an SUV opened fired on the Humvee limo he and others were riding in after attending a New Year's Eve party in Denver.
Police aren't saying whether they know the motive for the slaying but have said there was a disturbance at a nightclub where Williams had been.
