Apparently Jay Cutler is not untouchable when it comes to the NFL trade market.
KKTV's sister station, CBS4 in Denver, is reporting the Broncos are actively shopping Jay Cutler.
"I've heard the rumors," Cutler told CBS4. "I know what they're trying to do. Even though I love Denver and I'd love to remain a Bronco, I know how this business works. If they want me to play somewhere else, so be it."
Earlier Saturday, the NFL Network reported the Broncos mulled a couple of trade offers that would have shipped Cutler out of Denver. Adam Schefter has written on NFL.com that "Tampa Bay approached Denver to try to make a three-way trade that would have sent Cassel to the Broncos and quarterback Jay Cutler to the Buccaneers."
The report goes on to say the Detroit Lions also approached the Broncos about making a similar trade.
The Broncos deny any intention to trade Cutler and Matt Cassel has since been dealt to the Kansas City Chiefs. However, Cutler is reportedly angered by his name being used in any trade talk whatsoever.
