Brandon Marshall was in the right place at the right time.
The Denver Broncos receiver had a chance meeting recently at a Denver restaurant with Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, and walked away with more than the pleasure of a good dinner.
Marshall says Irvin put a lot of things in perspective for him and gave him some good advice, the most important being for Marshall to impose his will at times.
Marshall says Irvin advised him that it shouldn't matter if teams put two or three defenders on him, he should still feel he will find a way to make a catch.
Irvin also told Marshall to surround himself with good people and do the right things.
Marshall's troubles off the field have been well documented during his short career.
