The Denver Broncos will head into Monday night's game with the New England Patriots as the only team with a winning mark against one of the league's elite teams.

Denver has won five or their six meetings against the Patriots since 2001 while the rest of the league is a combined 26-102 over that time frame.

The Broncos have also been successful against teams coached by Bill Belichick, racking up a 9-2 record including going 4-0 during the time he was in charge of the Cleveland Browns.

But Broncos coach Mike Shanahan dismisses the assertion that Denver has New England's number. Shanahan says he doesn't think about the past accomplishments but instead is preparing for facing the Patriots, which he says is "always a great challenge."
