Broncos Suffer Major Injuries In Loss To Chargers

Head Coach Mike Shanahan announced during his press conference that the Broncos have lost two players for the season due to injury.

All Pro Center Tom Nalen tore his bicep and will miss the remainder of the season. Nalen's recovery time will be around four months, so it will not be career ending for the 14 year veteran.

Nate Jackson tore his groin during the game and he too will miss the remainder of the season.

One bit of good news to come out of the press conference. Pro Bowl Cornerback Champ Bailey strained his quad muscle in the game, but an MRI was negative. Shanahan says Bailey would not play this week if there was a game, but since they have a bye, he expects Bailey back for the Pittsburgh game.
