The city of Woodland Park is giving out free safe drinking water Thursday infront of City Hall due to the boil water order.

The city says they have hired a private water service to bring in a truck of safe drinking water from 4 - 7 p.m. for all residents. The city says residents can bring hand-held containers and they must provide their own.

The city says the water system is being flushed out as a precaution after Wednesday's water main break but no contamination has been found.

Woodland Park School District canceled school on Thursday but they say they plan to have school on Friday. District officials say bottled water and hand sanitizer has been brought in. Also, the health department has approved a menu for the school that eliminates all foods that are prepared with water.

Please note: No large water tanks will be filled Thursday at City Hall.

The district says they will continue to update their Web site with information. To see that Web site, click on the link below.
