Two Killed In Waldo Canyon Fire Identified

Police and the coroner’s office have now identified the couple found dead in their burned home after the Waldo Canyon fire.

The Colorado Springs Police Department reports they are continuing to investigate the deaths of William Everett, 74, and Barbara Everett, 73. They were both found in the remains of 2910 Rossmere Street.

The ongoing investigation involves members of CSPD, the Colorado Springs Fire Department, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office.

Three hundred and forty-six homes were destroyed by the Waldo Canyon fire. These are the only two reported deaths.
