Firefighters have fully contained the fire burning two miles west of Lake George.

Crews say some favorable weather helped to increase containment around the 30-acre Arkansas fire to 100 percent Friday night.

Voluntary evacuations were lifted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for residents living in a one mile radius of Lake George.

The U.S. Forest Service has confirmed that lightning is responsible for sparking the fire Thursday.

There was a quick response after the fire ignited: 100 firefighters, nine engines and eight smoke jumpers responded to the fire Thursday. The smoke jumpers arrived at 3 p.m. and parachuted down into the fire area.

"Local departments in surrounding areas are very good at releasing resources for us to use until we can get more in. We definitely have been shuffling resources around. They're coming from all over the place but we're getting them," Sanchez said.

No buildings were destroyed in the fire.

Lightning is also blamed for starting the High Park Fire in Larimer County. The previous fire in Park County this week was determined to be human caused.
