Old Colorado City, where many businesses have suffered since the Waldo Canyon fire.
Help is on the way from the federal government for small businesses struggling post-Waldo Canyon fire.
The Colorado Springs Business Journal is reporting a $100 thousand federal grant being given to the community to help small businesses affected by the fire. The grant is being received by the Colorado Small Business Development Center, and will help these businesses begin planning for recovery through marketing and low-interest loans.
"There are a variety of resources available to businesses, and with the additional funding, we will be able to provide increased services in order to help them recover and advance from this disaster," SBDC director Kelly Manning said.
Small businesses affected by the fire can contact Manning at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
