Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)
Updated: 06/18/2013 - We did a quick helicopter tour of the Black Forest burn area. Someone asked why the video looks shaky.
The closure of Highway 24 in the highly traveled stretch between Cave of the Winds and Woodland Park has created headaches for numerous drivers, particularly in isolating Woodland Park and towns further west from the Front Range.
11 News traffic reporter has created maps to show alternate routes between the Springs and Woodland Park. These include Highway 67 to Castle Rock, then down I-25 (or the reverse), and Highway 115 to Highway 50 to Highway 67 to Divide, then onto 24 east to Woodland Park (or the reverse).
