The city of Colorado Springs allowed evacuees to return to 76 additional homes on 6 streets Friday evening.
Those streets are: Wilson Rd., Jenner Ct., Brogans Bluff Dr., Karamy Ct., Tamora Way and Ravina Ct.
Like the streets reopened on July 4 and 5, people living in these areas are advised to prepare for flash flooding and avoid any areas that are prone to flooding.
Those who live in the remaining evacuated areas will have access to the area on Thursday, July 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the primary purpose of allowing insurance representatives to assess property. After 4 p.m., everyone needs to clear the area to allow Colorado Springs Utilities crews to resume working on the gas system.
Those residents and insurance representatives visiting that area will need to check in at the Verizon building (old MCI facility) at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road.
