All 50 states are now dealing with cases of the flu. That's according to the Centers for Disease Control. Here in Colorado, 425 people have been hospitalized so far this year. Seven people have died, including two kids. So it's an important reminder that the flu is serious stuff.
Here's a look at the symptoms. You'll notice the same symptoms as you do with a cold... runny nose, congestion, sore throat and cough. But you'll also have a fever, headache, body aches, chills and fatigue.
This is according to flu.gov.
Because of the serious nature of the flu, the best advice is to talk to your doctor. And if you haven't had the flu yet, don't think you're out of the woods. Local doctors tell us the flu season can last until May. So watch for these symptoms. And to keep yourself healthy, wash your hands frequently and, most importantly, get your flu shot.
