We've all had colds. Most of us get them every year. Despite this common illness, sometimes we're not sure if we're dealing with a cold or allergies. And there might be some questions about that right now, because the common cold is the top trend on webMD.
So just a reminder about what you're looking for with cold symptoms. You could experience body aches, a cough, stuffy nose, sneezing and a sore throat. And since there is no cure for the common cold, all you can do is treat the symptoms. As our doctors have told us, get lots of fluids, plenty of rest and take pain relievers for body aches.
You can also talk to your doctor. If you can't shake that cough. Your doctor can decide if a prescription cough medicine is right for you.
