Thanksgiving means lots of family time, piled into the car together to get to grandma's... Time around the table... There's lots of togetherness.
And that has lead to the sharing of a bug called gastroenteritis. That's according to Dr. Steven Reich with Evans Army Hospital on Fort Carson.
We heard about this going around a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Reich says the main symptom is vomiting and he's seeing entire families with this bug. It's also characterized by nausea and abdominal pain. That can be followed by diarrhea.
The best advice is to talk to your doctor. There could be big issues with dehydration and of course, you don't want to pass this on to anyone else and it is very contagious.
