Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
What is it about this year... we just can't shake strep throat. It's still going around. We continue to hear about this issue from multiple health care providers.
So we wanted to give you a rundown of the symptoms again. As we've heard from our local doctors, symptoms include a sore throat, fever, swollen lymph nodes and no cough.
Sometimes you'll notice white spots on the throat and tonsils. You might also experience abdominal pain and diarrhea.
Symptoms will go away quickly with a course of antibiotics. But without it, strep can hang around and it's very contagious. So talk to your doctor to set up the best course of treatment.
