When you think of one of the classic symptoms of a cold… you probably think of a runny nose. But it may not be a cold. It might be bronchiolitis.
You have to look at the other symptoms. A runny nose is the first symptom, also a cough and fever. But you also want to keep an eye and an ear out for wheezing. Your child may also have an ear infection. All of these symptoms can affect your child’s oxygen level. So talk with your doctor about the best course of treatment.
As we’ve heard from our health care providers in the past, bronchiolitis can lead to asthma or even pneumonia.
