The days of cold and flu have officially passed. But now there's the concern for folks with asthma-related symptoms because of the haze in the air right now, from the fires in Arizona.
The good news is - our doctors haven't been seeing too many people about it. That's what Dr. Steven Reich tells us. He's with Evans Army Hospital on Fort Carson.
He says the impact of the smoke on our kids has been less than expected. But he does want to use this time to remind anyone who takes medicine for allergies or asthma... make sure your prescriptions are up to date.
Also a warning for everyone: it's pretty warm out there. And you can still get a nasty sunburn with the haze out there.
So definitely keep that in mind, if you have to be outdoors. The key word is sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.
