If you've been feeling congested, like you've got a cold, but the symptoms aren't going away... it may be something else. Sinusitis is a problem this week.

That's what we're hearing from Dr. Tom Bartlett with Mountain View Medical Group. He's in the central part of the Springs. Sinusitis affects the tissues lining the sinuses. The sinuses become swollen and can really make you uncomfortable.

Dr. Bartlett says the sinusitis he's seen usually follow a viral upper respiratory infection... and symptoms of nasal congestion, headache and sometimes even fever or night sweats.

He says it hits about three weeks after the virus and is usually treated with antibiotics, steroids and over the counter meds like Tylenol and Ibuprofen.
