Over the last couple of weeks, we've been hearing a lot about one particular illness... strep. We've heard about this from doctors in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. And it's been affecting kids and adults. So we wanted to focus on the symptoms again.

As we’ve heard from our local doctors, symptoms include a sore throat, fever, swollen lymph nodes and no cough. Sometimes you'll notice white spots on the throat and tonsils. You might also experience abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Strep is usually very treatable with a course of antibiotics. But without them, as we've reported, symptoms can continue for a couple of weeks. Strep is very contagious. So talk with your doctor if you suspect any of these symptoms.
