You're scrambling around, buying last-minute gifts, preparing for family to arrive, packing for your trip. You don't have time to be sick. So watch out for what's going around this week... a nasty virus.

That's according to Dr. Tom Bartlett with Mountain View Medical Center. He says he's seeing a boat-load of a gastrointestinal bug lately. He says it starts with abdominal pain and cramps, nausea, vomiting... then progresses to diarrhea.

As you can see, this bug is not fun. But if it hits, you'll want to know what to do.

So here's what Dr. Bartlett recommends. He says you should treat your symptoms with Pepto-bismol and anti-nausea meds. And drink lots of fluids, because he says, in some cases, this virus has led to ER visits for lack of fluids, mostly in the very old and very young.

To keep yourself from getting this thing entirely, do your best to wash your hands often.
