If all you want for Santa is to stop coughing, you could have What’s Going Around. It’s a nasty cold that is really keeping a lot of folks from enjoying their holiday. This stuff can stick around for weeks.
Here's what we've been hearing about: when it starts, you or your kids could experience body aches, a cough, stuffy nose, sneezing and a sore throat.
And since there is no cure for the common cold, all you can do is treat the symptoms. As our doctors keep telling us, get lots of fluids, plenty of rest and take pain relievers for body aches. You can also talk to your doctor. If you can't shake that cough, your doctor can decide if a prescription cough medicine is right for you.
Symptoms can last up to three weeks. So do your best to keep this virus from spreading. Keep those hands washed and disinfect any shared areas. That way you're only sharing Christmas cheer and not cold germs with your friends and family.
