A sore throat could be much more serious than that. It could be strep throat.
That's going around this week, according to the doctors at EmergiCare in Colorado Springs.\
The symptoms include sore throat, runny nose, pain with swallowing, red and swollen ronsils, fever, even headache, nausea and vomiting.
You may notice these symptoms in kids or teens. But strep throat can also happen in adults.
You are contagious as long as you have symptoms. But anti-biotics can help with that.
Tissues and washing your hands can also help.
But the best advice is to see your doctor, because if it's left untreated, strep throat can lead to kidney, heart, skin and nervous system disorders.
