Resolution FAQ - (Stacia Naquin)
Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
Allergies are still an issue this week, just like we talked about last week. Ragweed and sagebrush are still the main culprits. That's making us sneeze.
But there's another issue out there that’s really affecting our kids. And it's not good news as everyone heads back to school.
Our kids are dealing with the common cold. That's according to The Youth Clinic.
The symptoms can be similar to allergies: nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and cough.
The best medicine for a cold is lots of rest and plenty of fluids. But The Youth Clinic adds that some colds can lead to ear infections, sinus infections, asthma attacks and other complications. If you're concerned about that, call your doctor.
Also, make sure your kids wash their hands thoroughly throughout the day. It’s also good to remind them that if they have to sneeze, they should sneeze into a tissue or the crook of their elbow to prevent the spread of germs.
