We may have turned the corner into spring because illnesses are changing a bit. That's according to local doctors. We've gone from colds and such, to pink eye now. That's according to Dr. Steven Reich with Colorado Springs Health Partners.

Pink eye, or conjunctivitis, is usually caused by a viral infection. Here's what to look for: itchy, scratchy eyes, redness, swelling of the eye lids, watery discharge and sensitivity to light.

Pink eye is highly contagious and anyone infected should avoid touching the eye area. Also, definitely wash your hands frequently. But it's good to visit your doctor to make sure it's not a more serious infection.
