The last thing you want to be concerned with at christmas time is being sick. But you may not have any choice in the matter. A gastro-intestinal bug is going around that could be the grinch to your holiday.
This information comes from Dr. Tom Bartlett with Mountain View Medical Group in the central part of the Springs. This is a continuation of what he reported to us last week. You'll remember, it starts out like a cold with a runny nose and congestion. But that leads to abdominal cramps and diarrhea. These kinds of symtpoms are never fun, but especially not during Christmas.
So here's what you do. Dr. Bartlett says totreat this virus symptomatically, with things like anti-diarrhea medicine. and don't forget to get lots of rest and lots of fluids. Hopefully that will have you feeling better by Christmas morning.
Also, make sure you wash your hands so you're not spreading that kind of joy.
